Madison Square Park

Posted in Uncategorized by Andrew Spender on November 8, 2009

I think my favorite public space in the city is Madison Square Park. Sure, it’s got Shake Shack, but that’s not the (main) reason. It’s the fact that it’s surrounded by some of the most iconic buildings in the city. We get to enjoy it twice a day with Hobbes. However, he’s concentrating on more basic actions rather than taking in the architecture.

Here’s the Flat Iron, Met Life (New York Life next door is amazing too) and, of course, Empire State Building all viewed today from Madison Square Park on a spectacular Fall morning.

Wow, what a great photo of Met Life. It looks like it was taken from the Flat Iron building on the corner of 23rd and Broadway. The Web site is brilliant. I had not heard of it. I’m going to make fresh tea and explore the site in detail! Thanks for sharing it with us.
