Union Square Smoking Hand Thing

Posted in Uncategorized by Andrew Spender on August 9, 2009

We seem to natually gravitate toward Union Square. It’s got a superb farmers market on a Saturday and a couple of organic stores; Trader Joes and Whole Foods. There is also a multiplex cinema, park, scrumptious noodle bar and the biggest Barnes & Noble bookstore in the city – 5 floors! We also tend to pass through Union Square when we’re traveling around the city because it lies at the intersection of Park Avenue South, Broadway and 14th Street, all busy roads.

One of the puzzling things about the square is this strange work of art on the side of a prominent building. It makes for an odd sight whilst driving down Park Avenue South. I must Google it.
